ABOUT: In Da Clurb, We All Fam

I’ve been writing about fandom and book nonsense since August of 2022 on Substack before for I decided to move over to Ghost in order to avoid giving right-wing nutjobs more money. The Skull and Boners Club Newsletter is centered mostly around whatever I (J.D. Riley, weirdo extraordinaire) find interesting at the moment and my current thoughts around each subject. I’m not always right, and I try to leave room to be wrong, though I do strive for accuracy in reporting when it comes to the facts of the matter at hand based in what information is available. I usually do not hide sources unless there is a significant risk in exposing them, but with a little digging it wouldn’t be that hard to find anyone I’m chattering on about anyway. Please do not touch the poop, this is for documentation and entertainment purposes only.

When it comes to topics, I don’t shy away from the difficult ones, addressing overt racism, fascism, bigotry, etc. We’re all still doing The Work™ around here, so please be patient in regards to such things. I’ve been “canceled” (not really a thing) about two or three times at this point and I’ve still managed to not become some right-wing grifter moaning and groaning about “the libs” and “woke culture,” so at the very least I can prove that it’s possible not to become a douchebag when the going gets tough.
